Irresponsible Puckboy

Irresponsible Puckboy is a steamy contemporary gay romance that kicks off the Puckboys series with a classic enemies-to-lovers setup in the high-stakes world of professional hockey. Anton Hayes is a responsible, level-headed NHL player who has his life perfectly mapped out, while Ezra Palaszczuk is the league's notorious party animal with a reputation for being reckless both on and off the ice. When circumstances force these polar opposites to become roommates, their mutual antagonism begins to shift into something neither of them saw coming. The story explores themes of self-discovery, challenging assumptions, and learning that people are rarely what they seem on the surface. Beneath Ezra's carefree party-boy exterior lies hidden depths, while Anton's buttoned-up persona conceals his own struggles with authenticity and desire. The forced proximity trope allows for plenty of banter, tension, and gradual character development as both men confront what they really want from life and each other. What makes this book appealing is the authors' signature blend of humor, heat, and heart. Finley and James deliver witty dialogue, genuine emotional growth, and scorching chemistry between their leads. Fans of sports romance, particularly hockey romances with MM relationships, will find plenty to love in this playful yet emotionally satisfying story about two men learning that taking a chance on love might be the most responsible thing they ever do.
