Hmmm okay so I loved the story...just didn't love the way McCarthy wrote it, maybe? The whole thing felt foggy. A lot of conversations happened where I had to really try and think about who was speaking because it wasn't clearly stated. I felt like I was always struggling to stay fully up to speed with what was going on and how the characters were related and what their roles were. The characters also felt a bit two-dimensional and I often got some of them mixed up, which to me means they lacked uniquely identifying characteristics. It may just be me...or it may just be McCarthy. Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
