This series should go hand in hand with domestic abuse classes. The description says:"WHEN YOU LOVED THE ONE WHO WAS KILLING YOU, IT LEFT YOU NO OPTIONS. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?"If you love someone that is killing you, hurting you, or emotionally abusing you, please call a professional and try to separate yourself from the abuser. This book was terrible for so many reasons. I can't possibly address them all. But the fact that this book description (be it about a child or husband or boyfriend) can resonate with people scares me. Self sacrifice and loving others are certainly important concepts, but this book was preaching clear messages: 1) taking (but not giving) abuse is totally fine if you love each other; 2) giving birth to a child is the most valuable thing a woman can do; 3) if your kid is going to kill you, you should be happy to die for him/her and don't worry about it bc it all will turn out fine.I can't understand why this idea is appealing to people, and once again, i suggest the if you love someone that is trying to kill you, hurting you, or emotionally abusing you, please call a professional and try to separate yourself from the abuser.
