Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy

Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy follows Simon Lewis as he attempts to rebuild his life after losing his memories in the Mortal War. Once a vampire and hero who sacrificed everything to save the Shadow World, Simon must now train at the Academy to become a Shadowhunter from scratch—relearning not only combat skills and demon-hunting techniques, but also who he was and who he wants to become. Through ten interconnected stories, readers watch Simon navigate the challenges of Academy life while surrounded by students who remember his heroic deeds even though he doesn't. The collection explores themes of identity, friendship, and what defines a person when memories are stripped away. Each tale weaves Simon's present-day struggles with flashbacks to pivotal moments in Shadowhunter history, offering deeper insight into the world's lore and the legendary figures who shaped it. The stories balance humor and heart as Simon reconnects with familiar faces from his past, including Clary and the other characters fans know from The Mortal Instruments series, while forging new relationships with fellow students who see him as either a legend or an outsider. This companion work appeals both to devoted fans eager for more time with beloved characters and to readers curious about the Academy's role in training the next generation of demon hunters. The collaborative writing brings fresh perspectives to the Shadowhunter universe while maintaining the wit, action, and emotional depth that define the series.
